The party season has officially started!

It’s finally time to dress up to the nines and bring out our most stunning cocktail dresses and outfits for the festive season!

If you still need a bit more inspiration, here are our

Top 10 party styles:

1. Classic
A floor-length evening gown always looks stunning and is the absolute classic for traditional balls and big celebrations. This season, high-necked models with long sleeves are particularly in fashion.

2. Velvet
When it comes to fabrics, velvet is the absolute favourite for elegant evening wear this year. This doesn’t just apply to dresses – skirts, trousers and bags also look great when velvety soft!

3. Lingerie
This winter, floaty lingerie dresses and strappy slip dresses are some of the most important must-haves. Combine them with a subtle silk scarf and delicate jewellery to create an unbeatable feminine look.

4. Lace
Lace is one of the most eye-catching trends of the season and helps every woman to look simply stunning. It is, however, important to remember that a lace dress requires understated accessories so that your overall outfit isn’t too busy.

9. Maxi blazers
They are the styling favourite of many a fashion blogger and look extremely stylish when you roll up their sleeves and combine them with a pleated skirt: maxi blazers are particularly ideal for New Year’s Eve parties.

10. The little black dress
It’s a well-known fact that the “LBD” is the ideal garment wherever you are and whenever you wear it! To make it truly stunning, simply put your hair up and complement your look with make-up à la Audrey Hepburn.

Our extra tips for when buying your new evening outfit:

1. Highlight your assets: if you want to make your shoulders and arms the centre of attention, be sure to opt for a shoulderless dress. If your legs are your most stunning feature, you should definitely go for a cocktail dress and avoid any floor-length gowns (unless the dress code requires otherwise).
2. Avoid eye-catching details that may be a short-lived trend You should instead go for classic cuts and colours that will make your outfit a long-lasting favourite for various occasions in years to come.
3. If you’re not sure which cut suits you best, the diagonal bias-cut is perfect for feminine curves. If you are very tall, slim and androgynous, on the other hand, it’s better to opt for a straight cut.

The beauty to go with the look:

It goes without saying that a wonderful outfit also needs the right cosmetics. Our favourite make-up for parties is a combination of smoky eyes and nude-coloured lips or bright red lips and subtle eye make-up. The important thing is to choose one of these options – don’t mix them!
